These send a minor electrical current through your body and this is generally considered to be very safe. As such we do not recommend that anyone with a pacemaker use the scales. Likewise, we advise any pregnant women to consult their GP before using the scales not because any harm is likely to occur but because these scales are not calibrated for pregnant women, so results are not accurate or applicable.
