MEDITATION – A WELLBEING PRACTICE.
Meditation is a simple practice, which can reduce stress, increase calmness & clarity, and promote happiness. Meditation means using a technique, such as breathing (breath-focused meditation for instance), to focus our minds on a particular object, thought or activity, to be in the present moment. Learning how to meditate is straightforward, and the benefits can come quickly. In these sessions we offer tips to get you started on a path toward greater equanimity, acceptance and joy.
Regular practice of mindful meditation has benefits for your physical as well as your mental health – reducing stress, improving immunity, better sleep and lower heart rate to name but a few. This is all because It initiates the relaxation response – the antidote to stress!
Mindfulness and meditation are mirror-like reflections of each other: mindfulness supports and enriches meditation, while meditation nurtures and expands mindfulness. Where mindfulness can be applied to any situation throughout the day, meditation is usually practiced for a specific amount of time.
Mindfulness Meditation is all about clearing and focusing the mind.
There’s no right or wrong way to practice, we all do it differently. Most important of all, meditation is to be enjoyed
