For many of us, it is the most wonderful time of the year. We break up from work, get to spend plenty of time with our loved ones, consume copious amounts of good food and alcohol and give and receive heart-felt gifts. However, for some of us, it can all just get a little too much…
Christmas time – the season of joy and good will. The time of year traditionally considered the time to be happy and merry. And whilst this is the case for some of us, the demands which come with the festive season have proven to cause some of us more harm than good.
As we are start to look forward to Christmas films, mince pies, mulled wine and relaxing, for others it is the dreaded anxiety of pressure, financial trouble, overthinking, loneliness and under-performing.
We spend so much time thinking about others at this time of year, that we often forget to look after ourselves.
Mental and emotional health doesn’t take time off at Christmas, and with all the added stress and demands which come with the Christmas period, it’s even more important for you to take care of your wellbeing.
