Sustainable Employee Engagement Through Wellbeing – A Journey
People and energy are two of the biggest costs in business today.
The costs to employers of poor mental health in the workplace are substantial, and they are increasing. Using conservative assumptions, Deloitte estimate a total annual cost to businesses up to £45bn, comprising £7bn in absence costs, £27bn – £29bn in presenteeism costs and £9bn in costs of staff turnover. There are also other indirect costs to employers such as the adverse impact on creativity, innovation, and colleagues.
“Quite simply employers need to take a hard look at how to protect and support the health and wellbeing of their people.”
Before people jump in and say you cannot “fix mental health”, the point is, as an employer you have a duty of care. You must fulfil your legal duties.
Attend this event to better understand how to satisfy these duties and support the wellbeing of your people.
