MOVE MORE, SIT LESS – WHY?

Have you ever thought about reducing the time you spend sitting each day to help improve your health and wellbeing?

How long have you been sitting today? Maybe you sit to eat breakfast, at your work desk, in the classroom, in the car, on the train, and in front of the TV in the evenings. It all adds up.

We now know that sitting time is a health risk with both long and short term impacts. To reduce your risk of health problems, you need to be aware of how much you sit and try to move more throughout the day.

Do You Know Your Numbers?

It’s time to SIT LESS and STAND MORE!

Regular walking is one of the best and easiest things you can do for your health. Why is Relaxation so important?

Breathing for Relaxation

Feeling weary, not getting enough sleep, working too hard, have an overactive mind – whatever your reason to practice a relaxation technique there are plenty of ways to find calm and breathing exercises are right up there. The important note here is that (a) you actually do it and (b) on a regular basis. From the confines of a bed, your desk – indeed anyplace where negative emotions, stress and anxiety finds its way, consider some breathing exercises to help keep calm, relax and carry on!
